Used to be named Godetia amoena ,and recently moved to the genus Clarkia .Introduced into Japan in early Meiji.At first,it was named "Iro-Matsuyoigusa",but now it is more often called "Godechia"."Godechia( godetia )"is named after a Swiss botanist Godet.
